How to Make Pink Baby Shower Fortune Cookies

A unique idea for a girl baby shower are pink baby shower fortune cookies. They make a wonderful, inexpensive favor. The 'fortune' inside can actually be a slip of paper with the baby shower information on it - the parents names, shower date and a thank you for coming message. These cookies can be made by the hostess and the 'fortunes' can be printed from a home computer.

To make fortune cookies a person needs only a few ingredients. Here's a very simple recipe:

• 1 egg
• ¼ cup sugar
• 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
• ¼ cup cornstarch
• 1 to 2 tablespoons water
• Red food coloring

After gathering the ingredients, beat the egg and add in sugar. Mix until it is smooth and add in oil and one drop of red food coloring. The cornstarch should be put in a separate bowl. Add to the cornstarch 1 tablespoon of water and part of the other mixture, mix well. Keep added more of the liquid mixture and mixing until smooth. Cook a tablespoon of mixture in a hot pan like pancakes. It should be thin. Turn once and cook until brown. Once finished take out of pan and work quickly before it cools to fold and insert fortune.
