How to Make a Diaper Cake

A diaper cake is basically a cake made out of baby diapers and other baby items. It is much like a gift basket only with a creative twist. The following is an easy example.

To make a diaper cake a person will need the following:

• 60 diapers
• ribbon
• small rubber bands
• large rubber bands
• 8 oz and 4 oz baby bottles
• decoration items
• small baby items
• a platter to sit the cake on

Note: All items should be unwrapped.

The cake is going to end up being three tiers high. The first step is to roll all the diapers and secure them with a rubber band. Once all the diapers are rolled the bottom tier can be made. The 8 oz baby bottle is going to be the middle. The rolled diapers are placed around the bottle to form a ring around it. Put a large rubber band around rind to secure it. Form another ring with more diapers and secure with rubber band. Make the final ring and secure it with a ribbon. The second tier is done the same on top of the previous ring using the 8 oz bottle as the center. The second tier will only have two rings instead of three. For the third tier the 4 oz baby bottle is used with one ring around it. Place the third tier on top and then decorate the cake with small baby items and pieces of ribbon or confetti. After the cake is complete wrap in cellophane.
